Hours: Sunday 9 pm - midnight
Monday-Thursday 9:30 pm-12:30 am
Friday 10:15 pm-2:00 am
Cabaret is our nightly live music venue. It is an intergenerational, multi-faceted, mixed bag of evening entertainment, drawn from our SUUSI pool of amateur and professional musicians, poets, actors, dancers and instrumentalists. In short, you! It’s a night guaranteed to please.
Sunday is Open Mic Night where everyone can perform. Be sure to sign-up for this event on Sunday by stopping at the Nightlife table during registration. Poets, actors, singers, dancers, young, old, small, tall...all are welcome.
Who gets to perform at Cabaret during the rest of the week? Why, you do, of course! Many who perform on Sunday night will be asked back to do their thing during Cabaret on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights. Each evening’s schedule will be listed in the daily NUUS as well as posted outside the auditorium and the dining hall by lunchtime of that day.
Wrapping up the Cabaret week on Friday night is Jamboree, a SUUSI tradition, where two or more people who have never performed together before will do so for the first time on the Cabaret stage. It’s amazing what can get pulled together in less than a week! So, remember, if you are interested in performing at any of the Cabaret events, be sure to stop by the Nightlife table at registration on Sunday or at Cabaret throughout the week!
Please stop by the Nightlife table at check in for more information.
