Costs
Basic SUUSI cost for adults (room, meals and registration) are $485 in 2013 for a week of activities, housing and meals for participants who submit their registration by May 15th.
Additional optional costs may include Workshop and Nature trip fees, drinks of various sorts during Nightlife events, upgrades to air-conditioned rooms, purchases at the Artisans' Bazaar and SUUSI Store, and SUUSIship donations. If your registration is postmarked after the initial deadline in May, you will not be able to take advantage of the discount for registering on time, so your cost will increase.
Registration 2013
Registration for SUUSI 2013 will open on April 12 at 6 pm EST. This allows the postal service time to deliver the paper catalogs.
A paper copy of the annual SUUSI catalog is typically published in late March. If you came to SUUSI in the last four years, we'll automatically mail you a catalog. If you did not attend recently you can request a paper catalog and we will add you to the mailing.
We post all the information in the catalog - and more - on this Web site, including the registration forms, but SUUSI is a paper-friendly as well as Web-friendly organization. Feel free to browse our previous SUUSI catalogs. We regret that past catalogs are not available in paper format. Those who wish to just retrieve the catalog off this website (and thus not receive a paper copy) can This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
You can let us know when you move so the catalog will find whither thou hast gone - yea verily, even unto the nether regions of northern Alabama and the wilds of Toronto. (We use bulk mail to reduce postage costs substantially, but that means the US Postal Service won't forward the catalog to you.)
SUUSIShips
SUUSI offers scholarships to individuals and families wishing who would otherwise be unable to attend without financial assistance. Funds that are offered through SUUSIships come mostly from donations by members of the SUUSI community and thus are limited to what’s been given. SUUSIship awards are based upon financial need and aim to help individuals and families bridge a financial gap so that they can participate in SUUSI activities. Those who receive SUUSIship awards are asked to provide a maximum of 10 hours of volunteer work time in exchange for your award.
If you wish to give to SUUSIships please indicate "SUUSIships" on any relevant checks made out to SUUSI. You may also give during SUUSI registration and there are several other opportunities to give at SUUSI. For more information on how you can contribute, contact the SUUSI Treasurer at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
To be considered in the first round of SUUSIship awards, applications must be received by April 18. All requests and applications are kept strictly confidential.
A SUUSIship application can be started at any time, but applicants are required to register for SUUSI before finishing their SUUSIship application. Be sure to include everyone in your SUUSI registration, who will be part of your SUUSIship application. When you reach the payment page, you will be given the option to pay with a SUUSIship. A link to the SUUSIship application will be available after that.
