Community Time is an intergenerational “potluck of time” in which the entire SUUSI community is encouraged to come together for informal fun and fellowship. There are activities every day for all ages, and plenty of space to just hang out and people watch as well. If you’ve been separated from your family or friends during daytime activities, Community Time is a great place to reconnect. It’s a great way to take a little break and relax a bit before dinner and nightlife!
Our beloved community gathers on the lawn near the fountain every weekday from 4:30 to 6pm. Some highlights planned for 2018: On Monday we will hold the annual kids craft sale. We will also make rainbow-themed crafts and posters to carry in our second annual SUUSI Pride event happening on Tuesday. On Wednesday we’ll be getting colorful with the tie-dye workshop (sign up using Workshop
#360). Look for speed conversations and other fun activities as well, including many things you can sign up for in our Sports and Games section.
Every day, the young-at-heart will have the opportunity to splash in the fountain and go down the slip-n-slide. Every day we will also have an open mic, adult coloring books, a conversation tent, lawn games, and our popular “I love SUUSI because” banner. On Friday, we will cut the banner into pieces and hand them out, so be sure to get your souvenir piece of SUUSI to keep the fire burning all year.
