Where is the Artisans' Bazaar?

Since this virtual thing is still kind of new, and we artisans love being creative, we are trying to add something else to help your experience. Last year, we asked artists to post in the Facebook SUUSI Friends Photo Album for the Artisans' Bazaar. We will do that again, but we will also have 3 opportunities to allow you to interact live through Zoom with our artists!

Here are three one-hour sessions for live artisan show & tell:
Time: Jul 18, 2021 7-8 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Time: Jul 19, 2021 7-8 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Time: Jul 23, 2021 7-8 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

At any of the times listed above, you can join the Zoom Meeting to interact with SUUSI artists.

Community TimeCommunity Time

Help us kick off virtual SUUSI with our first Community Time of the week on Monday. We will have some large group segments and some opt-in breakout rooms. The breakout rooms will be spaces where you can enjoy some low key conversations with friends new and old. You'll find the link in your SOLIS schedule or daily email.

Monday Community Time spaces will include:

Common Ground: drink a cup of coffee or tea, do a puzzle, or color a mandala*

SUUSI Store: Chat hosted by Jackie Winner about “reimagining” the SUUSI store post pandemic. Jackie asks: "Will the SUUSI Store be a viable part of a post-pandemic in-person SUUSI? Will you still want to buy physical books and music CDs, and if so, what kinds - UUA? Workshop? Children? General? Do you know ways for the SUUSI Store to access digital/online items to sell in such a way that SUUSI would make some profit from them? Should we shift our focus more to things like SUUSI memorabilia, bumper stickers, colored hair spray? Come bring your creative input and help us develop the SUUSI Store’s future!"

SUUSI Nails: Show off your best SUUSI colors and sparkles!

Book Club: Read anything good this year? Share your favorites (and maybe leave with some ideas to add to your to read lists)!

Which Way to the Teen Dorm?

The Teen events listed in SOLIS will be run using Zoom, and these links will be emailed out each morning. Outside of official programming, Teens will have the option to use the Discord app/website to interact and build community online. That Discord link will be sent to the email on record for the teen (not the parent/guardian) Saturday morning by 12 pm EST. The Teen Program Opening will be at 8:30-9:30 pm EST on Zoom. We are so excited to see you (virtually)!

Attention Middlers

We hope you’re planning to attend the Middler Games online workshop on Tuesday morning. Watch for the link in your email. Bring your best jokes to help us all get in a fun mood, but make sure you keep it clean!

Youth Program Notes

Our youth staff has been preparing all year to make the best of Virtual SUUSI 2021. Please check out the SUUS catalog for our daily schedule and more details about what we have planned. If your child is looking forward to participating in the D&D program please take a minute to fill out this form, which will help our staff assign them a character for the week.

!!Schedule Change Announcement!!>
The Welcome to SUUSI Youth Dance time has been changed to 5pm-6pm on Sunday evening 7/18/2021. The zoom link you received in your email has not changed. Please use this event to meet the SUUSI Youth Staff, ask your questions, see new and familiar faces, and DANCE!

Come help celebrate the beginning of Virtual SUUSI 2021 with a BBQUUSI-inspired social hour! The event will start this Sunday night, July 18th, 9:30pm EST.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you to enjoy some BBQ, good company and conversation. Please note we are getting started at 9.30, just a little earlier than the published time of 10 in the Confirmation NUUS (it is a work night for some of us after all). The suggested end time is midnight, but we’re happy to leave the room open as late as people are still up and chatting.
